CAD constructed parts via 3D scanning are used to simulate actions before their execution. In the context of this project, they are used to generate paths for a robot equipped by a laser. The robot have to fill a selected surface given the laser width, a start point, a direction and pattern. This report elaborates on an algorithm for automatic path generation developed during a 4 months internship hosted by the company Mabotic. This report also shows the results of the implementation of this algorithm as well as its limitations.
